Hey! Should we bring back the Affordable Housing Canrad?

Dudes! We REALLY wanted to ask you all a question - should we bring back the argument that Measure A will harm affordable housing in Santa Clara County?

At the County Supervisors' meeting in June, the Home Builders Association's Beverly B. Bryant bravely blasted brittly-bad, uh, Measure A (nice writing chops there, don't you think? It's called assonance. Heh). Anyway, Bev said the Land Conservation Initiative would hurt affordable housing, and you wouldn't believe how the pro-Measure A folks blew their lids. All just because they said it was dishonest and not true. They called it a canrad, or canard, or something.

So we haven't said it since then, but really man, it sells - shouldn't we use it some more? I mean, I'd like to see the pro-Measure A people try and sell a house in Orange County with that honesty standard. Are they going to close a sale while admitting that sprawl makes the commute from the house last 90 minutes? If you don't shave some, say half, of the time estimate off, you're just not really trying. Believe me, against Measure A, we're trying.

So we're willing to hear your thoughts, and we'll keep our options open. Meanwhile, be excellent to each other!
